New Forests Company is currently hiring for Junior Accountant to join their working environment in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
Duties and Responsibilities
- Preparing and posting expense, sales and fixed asset journals
- Reconciling balance sheets, creditors and tax accounts
- Ensuring accurate sales costing and timely financial reporting
- Maintaining proper filing systems and updating Sage Pastel records
- Preparing VAT, income tax and other statutory returns
- Monitoring collections, payments and support stock and asset accounting

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Proficiency in Sage Evolution and Microsoft Office packages such as Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong knowledge of tax laws and IFRS
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
