Fire and Rescue Force Job Opportunities – Apply Now!
The Fire and Rescue Force (Jeshi la Zimamoto) is currently inviting applications from qualified Tanzanian youth to join working team at Jeshi la zimamoto, Tanzania. These opportunities is conducted under the authority granted under Section 14(4) of the Fire and Rescue Force Act, Chapter 427 and Regulation 5 of the Fire and Rescue Force.
Available Positions and Qualifications
1. Constable – Secondary Education Certificate (Form Four)
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must:
- Tanzanian citizens by birth.
- Possess a valid birth certificate.
- Have a National Identification Card (NIDA) or an official Identification Number from NIDA.
- Is physically and mentally fit.
- Have no criminal record.
- Be unmarried.
- Have no body tattoos.
- Have never used illegal drugs.
- Be ready to undergo professional Fire and Rescue training.
- Have never been employed in government service.
- Meet the minimum height requirements: 5.7 feet (males) and 5.4 feet (females).
- Is financially prepared to cover recruitment and interview related expenses
- Be between 18 and 25 years old.
2. Constable – Secondary Education Certificate with Additional Skills
Candidates with Form Four or Form Six certificates and specialized skills in the following areas are encouraged to apply:
- Heavy vehicle driving
- Plumbing
- Nursing
- Fire and Rescue services
- Medicine
- Helicopter piloting
Additional Requirements:
- Must meet all qualifications listed in Section 1 (a to m).
- Candidates must be between 18 and 35 years old.
- Heavy vehicle drivers must possess a Class E driving license and be between 18 and 28 years old and they will undergo a practical driving test if shortlisted.

3. Constable – Bachelor’s Degree Holders
The Fire and Rescue Force also seeks applicants with degrees in the following fields:
- Marine Engineering
- Information and Communication Technology (ICT)
- Aircraft Maintenance Engineering
- English Language
- Quantity Surveying
- Multimedia Technology
- Economics
- Law (must have completed practical legal training)
- Education Management
- Road and Railways Transport Logistics Management
- Chemical Processing Engineering
Additional Requirements:
- Interested candidate must meet all required qualifications listed in Section 1 .
- Must be between 18 and 28 years old.

- A handwritten application letter
- A copy of the birth certificate
- A medical fitness report from a government hospital
- A copy of the National Identification Card (NIDA) or an official NIDA number

- The Form Four examination number
- The Form Six examination number (if applicable)
- Certified copies of academic and professional certificates from government-recognized institutions
- A letter of introduction from the Village/Mtaa Executive Officer
