Job Opportunity: ICT Administrator at REPOA

Position Overview
REPOA is looking for a skilled Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Administrator to oversee and manage its ICT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will ensure the effective operation, security, and development of the organization’s technology systems while supporting staff with technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities
ICT Strategy and System Management
- Develop, update, and implement ICT strategies and policies.
- Ensure robust information security measures are in place and properly enforced.
- Maintain and manage remote and local servers, ensuring seamless operations.
- Serve as the custodian of all ICT systems, ensuring compliance with security, data protection, and disaster recovery policies.
Technical Support and Capacity Building
- Provide technical support to staff, troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
- Conduct training sessions for both ICT and non-ICT staff to enhance digital literacy.
- Support the Communications Team in maintaining and updating the organization’s website.
- Assist departments like Finance and Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) with their digital platforms.
Infrastructure and Security Management
- Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software.
- Manage network infrastructure, including servers, routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Ensure data security, system integrity, and confidentiality are upheld.
- Implement regular system performance monitoring and upgrades as needed.
- Establish and test backup and disaster recovery procedures.
Project Implementation and Procurement Support
- Assist in identifying and implementing new ICT projects and initiatives.
- Collaborate with different departments to determine ICT requirements and recommend suitable solutions.
- Support the procurement of ICT equipment and services by providing technical specifications in line with institutional procurement policies.
Reporting and Compliance
- Maintain accurate records of ICT systems, procedures, and inventory.
- Prepare reports on ICT performance, system incidents, and areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, standards, and internal policies.

Required Qualifications & Experience
Educational Background
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology (IT), Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- A Master’s Degree or additional postgraduate qualifications will be an advantage.
Professional Certifications (Preferred but not Mandatory)
- CompTIA A+, Network+
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
- Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP)
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and Windows Server management.
- Experience with CentOS, PHP, MariaDB, and Apache Web Server.
- Hands-on experience installing and configuring IT hardware and software.
- Proficiency in managing cloud-based email servers.
Soft Skills & Competencies
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- A proactive approach with a keen eye for improving ICT systems.
