Macho Credit Company Limited, a leading microfinance institution in Tanzania, is looking for four (4) Credit Officers to join our growing team. Established in 2014 and headquartered in Dar es Salaam, we provide accessible financial solutions to individuals and businesses across the country.

Key Responsibilities

As a Credit Officer, you will play a crucial role in assessing and managing loan applications. Your responsibilities will include:

• Reviewing loan applications and verifying the accuracy of submitted documents.
• Evaluating clients’ financial status to determine creditworthiness.
• Assessing credit risks and making informed decisions on loan approvals or rejections.
• Conducting customer due diligence (KYC) and ensuring proper documentation.
• Calculating financial ratios such as credit scores and interest rates.
• Setting up payment plans and schedules for approved loans.
• Maintaining accurate loan application records and updating client information.
• Following up on non-performing loans and implementing recovery strategies.
• Communicating with clients about loan renewals and repayment plans.

Required Skills & Competencies

To excel in this role, you should have:

• Strong credit analysis and risk assessment skills.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and spreadsheets.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Portfolio management experience.

Qualifications & Other Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Banking, Business Administration, Economics, Procurement, or any related field.
• Must be below 30 years old.
• Willingness to work in districts and rural areas.
