POSITION: Internal Audit Manager

At Mwanga Hakika Bank (MHB Bank) we are looking for a highly skilled Internal Audit Manager to join our working team in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.  As a Selected  candidate for this position, you will be required to ensure effectiveness in risk management and ensure all operations align with Mwanga Hakika Bank’s (MHB Bank) strategic goals

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Assisting in developing  a comprehensive risk-based annual audit plan that aligns with Bank plans
• Designing and implementing Audit programs to ensure operational proficiency
• Evaluating internal control systems to mitigate operational risks
• Conducting financial audits to ensure they comply with law and banking standards
• Identifying operational weaknesses and recommending corrective actions
• Leading the investigation and coordinating with other departments by solving issues
• Creating awareness among employees at MHB Bank to ensure operational risks are minimized
• Collaborating with senior management to enhance overall risk management
• Working near various departments in the implementation plans

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related
• CPA, ACCA or CIA is an added advantage
• Experience: Five to seven years of work  experience as an internal audit and risk management
• Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of Banking regulations of Tanzania such as BOT guidelines, AML laws and Tax Compliance
• Audit Expertise: Experience working with auditors in managing regulatory audits

• Able to adapt to regulatory changes by involving industry standards
• Able to adapt to the regulatory changes in the industry
• Good in audit software including financial tools
• Good communication skills
