Job Summary
We are looking for a dedicated and proactive Human Resources Officer (HRO) to join our HR team at FINCA Microfinance Bank. As an integral part of our team, the HRO will be responsible for overseeing key HR functions, including employee relations, performance management, training, records management, and HR operations. The ideal candidate will contribute to maintaining an efficient and professional HR environment while supporting the organization’s overall goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a Brand Champion, ensuring employees embody and uphold the organization’s values and culture.
- Develop and manage employee recognition programs, assessing their impact and recommending improvements.
- Gather and analyze employee feedback through focus groups, surveys, and interviews to support HR and business initiatives.
- Assist in addressing and resolving employee grievances and manage responses to workplace complaints.
- Organize and conduct disciplinary hearings and performance review meetings.
- Oversee the performance management cycle, from goal setting to evaluations, aligning with company objectives.
- Review performance appraisal results, identify trends, and prepare consolidated reports for senior management.
- Collaborate with managers to identify training and career development opportunities, including mentoring and coaching needs.
- Maintain and update employee records while ensuring strict confidentiality.
- Organize and manage both physical and electronic HR documentation.
- Facilitate new employee orientation to ensure seamless integration into the organization.
- Assist in developing and delivering training programs and materials as needed.
- Coordinate all training initiatives, including online learning programs.
- Process staff loans in compliance with company policy.
- Support administration of medical insurance, NSSF, HESLB, and workmen’s compensation.
- Prepare and submit monthly HR reports.

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Labor Laws, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an HR Generalist or Employee Relations Officer.
- Experience working in diverse work environments.
- Strong background in coordinating and delivering training programs is an advantage.
