POSITION: HOD: Marketing and Enablement
Location: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
Job Type: Full-time
Purpose of the Role
As Sellected candidate in the potion of HOD: Marketing and Enablement you will be responsible for developing and executing the commercial marketing strategy for Vodacom Enterprise Business Unit (EBU). In this position you will oversee customer acquisition and retention budgets including ensuring strategic alignment across all sales channels.
At Vodacom Tanzania you will drive operational excellence in sales performance through adopting the best practices and developinv the high performing team via world class training programs.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Leadership and Strategy
- You will lead a team of specialists in Commercial Operations, Bids and Contracts
- At this position you will define and implement strategic marketing plans so that to enhance Vodacom presence in the enterprise market.
- You will provide commercial direction for all sales channels.
- You will oversee budget management for the acquisitions and customer retention.
- You will approve business cases, deals including commercial frameworks.
Sales Performance and Optimization
- You will analyze revenue performance by sales channel and customer segment.
- As Sellected candidate you will develop and implement strategies so that to enhance product adoption and service usage.
- You will optimize sales structures including commission policies so that to drive performance.
- As Sellected candidate you will establish efficient sales processes so that to reduce the time between deal closure and activation.
- You will create operational frameworks that focus on provision of sales support.

Training and Capability Development
- You will be Designing and delivering enterprise training programs for products, processes and systems.
- You will implement Vodacom Sales Academy including certificating sales professionals.
- You will develop training modules including enhancing customer engagement strategies and sales confidence.
- You will Lead coaching initiatives for sales teams so that to drive business growth.
Technology and Business Optimization
- You will define segmentation strategies so that to optimize enterprise business growth.
- You will ensure accurate contract management within Vodacom system.
- In this position you will collaborate with stakeholders so that to develop standardized quoting and contract templates.
- You will drive adoption of enterprise sales and marketing systems for improved efficiency.
What are We Looking For
Core Competencies and Skills
- Candidate with proficiency in Microsoft Office packages such as Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Candidate with deep understanding of sales teams, structures and enterprise business processes.
- Candidate with strong knowledge of pipeline management, financial reporting including key sales KPIs.
- Candidate with experience in sales operations, innovation and customer engagement.
Qualifications and Experience
- Eight to ten years of experience of leadership in the ICT industry
- Candidate with direct sales experience
- Candidate with five years in a leadership, management or supervisory role.
- Candidate with bachelor degree in Marketing, Business Administration
