In Tanzania, Puma Energy Tanzania Limited plays a key role in the petroleum sector, ensuring seamless fuel distribution through an extensive network of storage and retail facilities.

Position: Head of Commercial

Puma Energy Tanzania Limited is seeking a highly experienced and strategic leader to serve as the Head of Commercial. This is a senior executive role reporting directly to the Managing Director.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Commercial Leadership: Develop and implement commercial strategies that align with the company’s business growth objectives.
Market Expansion: Identify new business opportunities in retail, aviation, and alternative fuels.
Business Development: Build strong client relationships, expand the customer base, and lead contract negotiations.
Revenue Growth: Oversee sales, marketing, and business development activities to maximize revenue.
Financial & Risk Management: Manage budgets, forecasts, and pricing strategies while mitigating risks.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to national and international laws and industry regulations.
Stakeholder Engagement: Represent Puma Energy in industry events, government meetings, and partnerships.
Sustainability & Innovation: Promote eco-friendly energy solutions and align operations with the company’s sustainability goals.
Team Leadership: Develop a high-performing commercial team and foster a culture of innovation and excellence.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
  • A Master’s degree is an added advantage.

Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years in commercial leadership, sales, or customer service roles.
  • At least 5 years in a senior executive position.
  • Experience in the oil and gas industry (midstream or downstream) is an added advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of global markets and ability to operate in a multinational environment.
