Dark Earth Carbon, on behalf of Masika Ventures, is seeking a Graphic Designer & Social Media Marketer to join our team.

Application Process

Our selection process consists of three stages:

Initial Application Form
Short-Listed Task Assignment – Candidates will complete tasks similar to the actual job responsibilities to showcase their design and marketing skills.
Interview – The final step, though less weighted than the short-listed tasks. Our primary focus is assessing your ability to create, illustrate, design, and market social media content effectively.

Job Overview

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Graphic Designer & Social Media Marketer to enhance our visual communications. This role involves designing engaging marketing materials, improving our digital presence, and creating compelling social media content.

Your work will directly contribute to the company’s branding, marketing efforts, and online visibility.

Key Responsibilities

Create visually appealing designs for presentations, infographics, and marketing materials.
Develop high-quality graphics and illustrations using Canva, Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), or other design tools.
Enhance our websites and LinkedIn presence with improved layouts, banners, and branding elements.
Design engaging social media content, including graphics, infographics, and animations, that align with our brand identity.
Ensure brand consistency across all platforms and marketing materials.
Collaborate with the team to understand project goals, provide creative input, and incorporate feedback.

Qualifications & Skills

Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in graphic design, illustration, and social media content creation.
Degree or coursework in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field (preferred but not required).
Proficiency in design software, including Canva and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
Solid understanding of design principles such as color theory, typography, and composition.
Attention to detail, with the ability to create clean, modern, and professional designs.
Experience in website and LinkedIn profile enhancements is an added advantage.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to receive and implement feedback effectively.
