As the General Manager, you will lead this iconic luxury resort, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, efficient operations, and continued business success.

Your Role & Responsibilities

As the General Manager, you will report directly to the Managing Director and be responsible for:

✔ Leading & inspiring high-performing teams, ensuring top-tier service and guest satisfaction.
✔ Managing hotel operations across all departments, optimizing productivity and workflow.
✔ Overseeing implementation of Meliá Hotels International policies, ensuring seamless alignment with corporate strategies.
✔ Building strong relationships with property owners, guests, and stakeholders.
✔ Driving business growth through operational excellence, problem-solving, and strategic decision-making.

What We’re Looking For

🔹 3-4 years of experience as a General Manager in an upscale resort.
🔹 Proven track record in managing luxury resorts, preferably in African destinations.
🔹 Strong background in high-end hospitality brands.
🔹 Exceptional ability to manage relationships with property owners and stakeholders.
🔹 Adaptability to Zanzibar’s local environment and business landscape.
🔹 Hands-on operational expertise and problem-solving skills.
🔹 Outstanding team leadership and people management abilities.
🔹 English fluency is mandatory.
🔹 Experience in Talent Development & HR Management.
🔹 Knowledge of hotel management IT tools.
🔹 Willingness to reside in Zanzibar.
