About the Role
As a key member of the Global Accounting Team, this role is responsible for ensuring accurate fund accounting across MSI’s global operations. Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring MSI accurately accounts for all donor income, including indirect grants and performance-related funding.
- Analyzing the financial impact of new projects and ensuring timely closure of project finances with no outstanding balances.
- Supporting Country Programme teams in project accounting, ensuring compliance with MSI regulations and donor requirements.
- Integrating donor pipeline data into MSI’s business planning and forecasting processes.
- Preparing reports by analyzing and interpreting project data, providing Senior Management with crucial insights into donor funding.
- Assisting the Senior Manager – Donor Forecast & Pipeline Development in optimizing and automating financial processes to enhance efficiency.
- Collaborating closely with MSI’s Informatics, Regional Finance, Country Programme Finance, and Donor Teams.

Qualifications:
- Certified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) – Essential.
- Degree-level education – Desirable.
Job Details:
- Location: London Support Office (hybrid – 2 days per week in the office) or any MSI country programme location.
- Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday (for UK-based team members).
- Contract Type: Permanent.
- Salary: £40,000 – £51,000 per annum for UK-based candidates (including discretionary bonus and benefits). For other locations, salary will be determined based on the national context.
- Salary Band: BG9.
- Closing Date: 3rd March 2025 (midnight GMT). Exceptional candidates may be interviewed before this deadline.
For internal MSI country programme employees, the role’s salary and conditions will align with the country’s existing pay structure.
