Job Overview

Airtel Tanzania is seeking a Finance Support Executive to join our dynamic finance team. This role focuses on financial reconciliation, accounting, compliance, and reporting to ensure smooth operations and effective financial management.

As a Finance Support Executive, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Reconciliation & Trust Accounts Management

✔ Perform daily reconciliation between Airtel Money Platform and Trust Accounts.
✔ Share Daily Trust Reconciliation (DTR) input and clear unresolved DTR items.
✔ Track and manage TIPS open items for better financial visibility.

2. Transaction Monitoring & Revenue Assurance

✔ Track financial movements for decision-making and planning.
✔ Identify and report errors, discrepancies, and potential wallet leakages.
✔ Monitor VCN, THUNES, and IMT transactions (collections and disbursements).
✔ Manage THUNES currency swaps to ensure accuracy in transactions.

3. Accounting & Financial Reporting

✔ Ensure proper accounting of revenue and costs related to digital wallets.
✔ Oversee daily commission disbursements and wallet accounting.
✔ Prepare and maintain accurate financial reports.

4. Compliance & Regulatory Adherence

✔ Ensure compliance with Bank of Tanzania (BOT) regulations regarding trust fund movements and interest tracking.
✔ Monitor payments to banks and ensure customer satisfaction in transactions.
✔ Manage partner bank commission invoices and compile ICOFR documents for review.
✔ Maintain accurate records of interest files and transfer requests.

5. Business & Finance Support

✔ Assist with product and service-related financial matters.
✔ Provide financial insights to support business decisions and planning.
✔ Offer support in financial controls, including weekend reconciliations and finance testing when required.

Qualifications & Experience

🎓 Education & Background:
✔ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

💡 Skills & Competencies:
✔ At least 2 years of experience in a finance department, preferably in accounts receivable, accounts payable, or reconciliations.
✔ Strong understanding of financial policies, procedures, and reporting standards.
✔ Knowledge of financial analysis, accounting principles, and reconciliations.
✔ Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex financial issues.
✔ Ability to work in a performance-driven organization with tight deadlines.
✔ Proficiency in financial software and reporting tools.
