About the Role
EITS (Electrical Instrumentation, Telecommunication, and Security Systems) Contractor on the EACOP Project is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Finance Controller to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring financial efficiency, cost management, compliance, and reporting accuracy for project execution in Tanzania.
As a Finance Controller, you will work closely with the Business Controller, local and international project teams, and key stakeholders, including the EACOP customer, tax authorities, consultants, and accounting firms.

Key Responsibilities
1. Accounting & Tax Management
✔ Oversee accounting and tax compliance for the entity.
✔ Coordinate with local accounting, tax, audit, and consultancy firms.
✔ Lead statutory audits, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
✔ Regularly engage with accounting consultants to maintain financial accuracy.
✔ Review and validate financial statements issued by external accounting firms.
✔ Oversee profit & loss (P&L) and balance sheet (B/S) reviews.
✔ Ensure accurate revenue recognition and compliant inter-company transactions.
✔ Manage invoicing, accounts receivable (A/R), and collections.
✔ Lead the execution of EACOP Project Special Tax Regime, including VAT exemption processes.
✔ Manage and enhance Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
2. Bank & Treasury Operations
✔ Oversee bank transactions, including payments and reconciliations.
✔ Maintain relationships with local banks and ensure smooth operations.
✔ Lead cash forecasting and optimize cash flow management.
3. Governance & Compliance
✔ Ensure adherence to Customer Project Processes, Delegation of Authority, and Internal Control guidelines.
✔ Implement IFRS standards and internal financial controls.
✔ Maintain compliance with local financial regulations.
4. Financial Controlling & Reporting
✔ Monitor and control costs, expenses, and margins to ensure financial efficiency.
✔ Own and manage the rolling forecast and budget planning process.
✔ Oversee actual financials, forecasts (RF), and project reporting (SGV).
✔ Track business performance through variance analysis and financial reporting.
✔ Identify and manage financial risks and opportunities.
✔ Support the installation and service financial activities.
✔ Act as a financial business partner, optimizing project execution and performance.

Qualifications & Experience
🎓 Education & Background:
✔ Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field from an accredited institution.
✔ Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent certification.
💡 Skills & Competencies:
✔ 8+ years of hands-on experience in finance, accounting, tax, compliance, and financial control.
✔ Previous experience in multinational corporations (MNCs) is preferred.
✔ Strong knowledge of ERP systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
✔ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
✔ Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
✔ Ability to work in diverse teams and collaborate effectively.
✔ Proactive and self-motivated with minimal need for supervision.
✔ Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
✔ Knowledge of Power BI is an added advantage.
