Ukerewe District Council is currently hiring for Ferry Operator Grade II to join their working environment in Ukerewe,Ā Mwanza,Ā Tanzania
Duties and Responsibilities
- Securing and releasing ferry ropes.
- Ensuring safety of all onboard.
- Properly loading and arranging passengers and vehicles.
- Operating and steering the ferry safely.
- Maintaining journey logbooks.
- Monitoring ferry engine performance.
- Checking fuel and necessary equipment before trips.

Qualifications
- Must have completed Form Four Education (O-Level)
- At least two years of certified ferry operation and maintenance training from a recognized institution such as Dar es Salaam Marine Institute
- Must have undergone six months of training in lifesaving, swimming and ferry loading procedures.
Salary Scale: TGOS A
