About the Role

As an Executive Sous Chef, you will play a vital leadership role in our culinary team, working alongside the Executive Chef to deliver world-class dining experiences. This position is ideal for an experienced and innovative culinary professional who thrives in a high-end hospitality setting.


Key Responsibilities

Culinary Leadership & Operations

  • Assist the Executive Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflows and consistency across all sections.
  • Supervise food preparation and presentation, maintaining the highest standards of taste, quality, and visual appeal.
  • Monitor kitchen performance, ensuring efficient planning, inventory management, and minimal food waste.

Menu Development & Innovation

  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to design and refine menus that incorporate seasonal ingredients and guest preferences.
  • Bring creativity and expertise to crafting unique culinary experiences that align with RIU’s luxury standards.

Team Management & Development

  • Mentor and train junior chefs, fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous learning.
  • Evaluate team performance, providing feedback and guidance to maintain high standards.

Quality Control & Compliance

  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations.
  • Uphold RIU’s standards in every dish served, reinforcing a commitment to quality and guest satisfaction.

Required Skills & Experience:

Culinary Expertise: Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar leadership role within a five-star hotel or luxury resort.
