Key Responsibilities
As an Engineer II (Electrical) at OSHA, your main duties will include:
Workplace Inspections & Compliance
- Conduct general walk-through inspections to assess workplace compliance.
- Perform specific electrical safety inspections and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure workplace electrical installations meet regulatory standards.
- Conduct follow-up inspections to verify the implementation of corrective measures.
Risk Assessment & Accident Investigations
- Identify and evaluate workplace electrical hazards.
- Conduct risk assessments and propose preventive measures.
- Investigate electrical-related workplace accidents and recommend control measures.
Testing & Maintenance
- Operate and maintain electrical testing equipment.
- Perform electrical safety tests, including polarity, insulation resistance, and earth continuity.
- Commission workplace electrical installations for safety compliance.
Training & Consultation
- Plan and implement electrical safety programs for workers and management.
- Provide expert consultancy services on electrical safety.
- Prepare reports, research papers, and educational materials on workplace electrical safety.
- Contribute to public awareness initiatives by providing input to the Public Relations Office on electrical safety matters.
Legal & Research Involvement
- Interpret scientific data from investigations and suggest appropriate safety measures.
- Participate in court proceedings related to workplace electrical safety issues.
- Contribute to occupational safety and health research, business planning, and strategic initiatives.
- Stay updated with the latest safety regulations and industry best practices.

Qualifications & Experience
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics from a recognized institution.
- Professional Registration: Must be registered as a Graduate Engineer with the Engineers Registration Board (ERB).
- Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of electrical safety standards and regulations.
- Experience in workplace inspections and compliance.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and report-writing abilities.
