At Good Neighbor Tanzania we are currently looking for a Driver to join our working team in Mbozi District, Songwe Region, Tanzania

Job Overview

As sellected candidate in this position you will provide safe and efficient transportation services in line with organizational policies including ensuring vehicle maintenance, route planning and doing all transport activities that support the organization objectives.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

As sellected candidate at you will be required to ensure proper parking at office premises and official trip locations.
As sellected candidate you will be required to process budget requests for monthly parking fees and vehicle cleaning expenses.
As sellected candidate you will be required to maintain vehicle cleanliness and ensure all necessary equipment is in good condition.
As sellected candidate you will be required to conduct regular vehicle inspections and provide a report incase of any defects.
As sellected candidate at Good Neighbors you will be required to safeguard the vehicle, toolkits, spare parts and other equipment.
As sellected candidate you will be required to renew vehicle insurance and related licenses at least one month before expiry.
As sellected candidate you will be required to schedule vehicle servicing every 5,000 km and oversee necessary maintenance.
As sellected candidate you will be required to accurately record mileage and trip details in the vehicle logbook.
As sellected candidate you will be required to maintain proper fuel records, including refills and purchases.
As sellected candidate you will be required to submit a detailed monthly vehicle report by the 5th of each month.
As sellected candidate you will be required to report accidents, incidents or defects immediately
As sellected candidate you will be required to complete incident report forms with relevant supporting documents such as police reports and photos.
As sellected candidate you will be required to perform additional transport related duties as can be assigned by Supervisor

Qualifications and Experience

Driving Certificate from NIT, Advanced Course Grade Two (VIP) or equivalent.
At least three years of working experience in driving and vehicle management.
Previous experience working with NGO
A valid driving license with a clean driving record.
Familiarity with GPS systems.
Ability to drive long distances and work after hours.
Good in Microsoft Office packages such as Word and Excel

Ability to follow instructions and work without supervision.
