Tobacco Cooperative Joint Enterprises Limited (TCJE) is a registered cooperative organization established under the Cooperative Societies Act No. 6 of 2013. TCJE plays a key role in supporting Tanzania’s tobacco industry by promoting economic interests for its affiliated cooperative societies. Its activities include tobacco marketing, agricultural supply distribution, and other industry-related initiatives.
As the organization expands, TCJE is looking for two qualified and experienced drivers to join its team in Morogoro.
Position: Driver (2 Vacancies)
Job Overview
As a Driver at TCJE, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining the company’s vehicles to ensure safe and efficient transportation of personnel, goods, and other assigned duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Vehicle Operation & Safety
- Drive company vehicles as assigned while ensuring safety and compliance with traffic regulations.
- Ensure the security of the vehicle at all times, including parking in designated secure areas.
- Vehicle Maintenance & Inspections
- Conduct daily inspections to check for any issues and report defects promptly.
- Keep accurate maintenance records, including service schedules and fuel consumption.
- Ensure that vehicles are clean and well-maintained at all times.
- Logbook & Documentation
- Maintain an up-to-date logbook, recording all trips and fuel usage.
- Verify repairs and servicing carried out on the assigned vehicle.
- Other Duties
- Support staff by running errands and providing transport as needed.
- Perform any other related duties assigned by the Supervisor.

Required Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Certificate of Secondary Education (CSE).
- Driving Certification: A valid driving certificate from a recognized institution.
- Work Experience: Minimum 2 years of driving experience in a reputable institution.
- Language Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Swahili.
- Driving License: A valid driver’s license (VIP class will be an added advantage).
