Role Overview

As a Customer Experience Executive, you will play a key role in ensuring seamless branch operations, customer service, and business growth. Your responsibilities will include handling customer inquiries, resolving complaints, managing transactions, and improving overall branch performance. You will also support sales efforts and contribute to achieving business targets.

Key Responsibilities

1. Customer Service & Relationship Management (60%)

  • Serve as the first point of contact for customers, ensuring exceptional service delivery.
  • Address customer concerns, resolve issues, and escalate complex cases when necessary.
  • Assist customers with account opening, loan processing, and other banking services.
  • Promote Absa’s products and services by identifying customer needs and offering tailored financial solutions.
  • Maintain a professional and welcoming banking environment by monitoring branch cleanliness, queue management, and service efficiency.

2. Sales & Business Development (20%)

  • Build and maintain relationships with existing customers, identifying opportunities for cross-selling financial products.
  • Support marketing campaigns and in-branch promotions to attract new customers.
  • Assist in growing branch revenue by meeting sales targets and contributing to branch performance goals.
  • Provide guidance on banking procedures and assist customers with digital banking solutions.

3. Branch Operations & Compliance (10%)

  • Ensure transactions and customer interactions adhere to bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and manage branch cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity for daily operations.
  • Process online payments, funds transfers, and account reconciliations efficiently.
  • Assist with audit compliance by maintaining accurate records and documentation.

4. Administration & Reporting (5%)

  • Maintain daily reports on customer interactions, sales progress, and service quality.
  • Collaborate with other departments to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
  • Support branch leadership in performance tracking and strategic decision-making.

5. Team Support & Training (5%)

  • Work closely with branch staff to foster a collaborative and customer-focused culture.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to new team members on customer service best practices.
  • Support the Branch Manager in executing community engagement activities to build Absa’s brand presence.

What We’re Looking For

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in banking, customer service, or financial sales.
  • Strong knowledge of banking operations, policies, and risk management.
  • Experience in handling customer inquiries, complaints, and financial transactions.
  • Ability to meet sales targets and drive business growth.
