Job Overview

UONGOZI Institute is seeking a skilled and dynamic Communications Officer to support its corporate communications efforts. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in strengthening stakeholder relationships, managing media interactions, and enhancing the Institute’s online presence.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing the Institute’s corporate communications strategy.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and the public.
• Draft responses to customer inquiries, complaints, and requests in line with the Institute’s policies.
• Handle media inquiries, schedule interviews with stakeholders, and coordinate expert discussions.
• Develop and maintain a stakeholder database for effective information sharing.
• Contribute to writing and editing the Institute’s publications.
• Monitor internal communication and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Create and update content for the Institute’s website and social media platforms.
• Organize and facilitate workshops and seminars to enhance staff communication skills.
• Develop content related to the Institute’s programs and activities, including marketing materials, research reports, and strategic plans.
• Coordinate logistical arrangements for filming interviews for the Institute’s television programs.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, Business Administration (Marketing), International Relations, Business Communication, or a related field from a recognized institution.
• At least three (3) years of experience in communications, marketing, or public relations.
