Role Overview: Commercial Administrator

We are looking for a detail-oriented Commercial Administrator to support our commercial team by ensuring efficient procurement, contract administration, and supplier management. This role plays a key part in maintaining smooth operations by handling purchase requisitions, purchase orders, supplier coordination, and financial processing.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, and proactive, with strong communication skills and experience in procurement or commercial administration.


Key Responsibilities

As a Commercial Administrator, you will:

  • Manage Purchase Requisitions (PRs): Review, raise, and process PRs while ensuring they align with Orica’s procurement standards.
  • Coordinate Purchase Orders (POs): Engage with stakeholders to create and release POs, follow up on approvals, and ensure they are sent to suppliers.
  • Supplier Management: Ensure timely order confirmations, deliveries, and issue resolution related to POs.
  • Financial Processing: Support Accounts Payable by resolving pricing discrepancies, missing goods receipts (GRs), and quality issues.
  • Data Management: Maintain and update procurement-related Master Data for non-managed suppliers.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to automate POs and streamline procurement activities.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with internal teams and suppliers to ensure efficiency and compliance.

Qualifications & Experience

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • Tertiary education in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong organizational and customer service skills.
  • Basic understanding of MRP (Material Requirements Planning).
  • Knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Word.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment medical checks.
