Are you passionate about advocating for children’s rights and community resilience? ActionAid Tanzania is looking for a Child Protection and Resilience Inspirator to join our team in Mwanza Region for a 12-month placement.

About ActionAid Tanzania

ActionAid Tanzania (AATZ) is part of the ActionAid International Federation, a global movement committed to fighting poverty and injustice. Operating in Tanzania since 1998, we officially became a Country Program in 2000 and expanded to Zanzibar in 2001. Over the years, we have implemented four country strategy papers, significantly contributing to Tanzania’s development. AATZ is registered in Mainland Tanzania and complies with the Zanzibar Society Act No. 6 of 1995.

As a part of our mission, we are dedicated to empowering marginalized communities, particularly women, children, and individuals living with albinism.

Job Title: Child Protection and Resilience Inspirator

Location: Mwanza Region
Reports to: Program and Partnership Manager
Duration: 12 months

Role Overview

This position aims to enhance the capacity of TAS, a key partner of AATZ under the Bright Future Project, by supporting project coordination and management.

Key Responsibilities

The Inspirator will work closely with TAS and its secretariat members to:

  • Strengthen project planning and management
  • Facilitate evidence-based advocacy initiatives
  • Improve monitoring, evaluation, and learning strategies
  • Enhance project documentation and outcome harvesting
  • Support financial management, including developing financial policies and procedures
  • Assist in resource mobilization, including crafting a funding strategy

Additionally, the Inspirator will:

  • Support TAS members, the Mitindo School community, and families of children with albinism in advocating for improved services
  • Assist AATZ and TAS in developing strategies to support children and communities living with albinism

Required Skills & Experience

We are seeking a motivated, proactive, and adaptable individual with:

  • Community mobilization and organization skills
  • Resource mobilization experience
  • Understanding of Human Rights-Based & Feminist Approaches
  • Experience in social movement building, organizing, and strategic planning
  • Training and capacity-building expertise
  • Knowledge of campaign design and execution
  • Project management experience (voluntary work is an advantage)
  • Strong lobbying and advocacy skills, particularly within CSOs
  • Teamwork and leadership abilities, with a readiness to inspire change
  • Ability to work in remote areas and adapt to different environments

  • Bachelor’s degree or Advanced Diploma in Development Studies, Social Sciences, or Project Management
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field is an added advantage
