The Gaming Board of Tanzania (GBT) is a public regulatory institution responsible for overseeing, monitoring and managing gaming activities in Tanzania. The Gaming Board of Tanzania was brought up basing on parliamentary Act No. 4 of 2003 brought up to ensure compliance and promoting integrity within the gaming industry.

Gaming Board of Tanzania (GBT) is looking for suitable candidates to for Chief Internal Auditor to join their working environment in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania

Position: Chief Internal Auditor

1.1 Qualifications:

To be considered for this position you are required to possess various qualifications as follows

• Candidate with Masters Degree in Auditing, Accounting, Finance, Commerce or Business Administration.
• Candidate with with minimum of ten years of working experience
• As interested candidate you must hold one of the following certification
  • Candidate who is Certified as Public Accountant (CPA-T)
  • Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)
  • Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA)
  • Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA)
  • Candidate who is recognized by the National Board of Accountants and Auditors (NBAA).

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• As sellected candidate you will be required to lead and oversee the Internal Audit Unit.
• As sellected candidate you will be required to develop and implement internal audit strategies and policies 
• As sellected candidate you will be required to identify and assess risk factors through providing recommendations for effective control measures.
• As sellected candidate you will be required to plan, coordinate and execute audit functions so that to maintain compliance and quality assurance.
• As sellected candidate you will be required to review business processes and financial operations so that to ensure alignment with the approved budgets and regulatory requirements.
• As sellected candidate you will be required to analyze financial records by ensuring compliance with accounting policies and industry regulations.
• As sellected candidate you will be required to assess and enhance the effectiveness of internal control systems.
• As sellected candidate you will be required to ensure proper accounting and risk management measures.
• As sellected candidate you will be required to prepare and present audit reports to the Board of Directors.
• As sellected candidate you will be required to conduct and oversee special investigations when necessary.
• As sellected candidate you will be required to mentor, coach and guide junior audit staff.
• As sellected candidate you will be required to perform any other duties as can be assigned by the Board of Directors or the Director General.

Remuneration:

A competitive salary package will be offered in accordance with the GBT Salary Scale.
