Key Responsibilities
1. Leadership & Strategic Growth
- Lead VFT with a strong vision and Christian values, ensuring financial inclusion benefits families and children in rural Tanzania.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to support both financial sustainability and social impact.
- Oversee the transition process into a regulated deposit-taking institution.
- Build a high-performance team, fostering accountability, responsibility, and excellence.
2. Financial & Risk Management
- Ensure effective budgeting, financial projections, and resource management.
- Maintain portfolio quality while achieving key growth and efficiency targets.
- Implement risk management frameworks to safeguard deposits and investments.
- Maintain compliance with all banking and financial regulations set by authorities.
3. Operational Excellence
- Oversee efficient lending operations, ensuring affordable and accessible financial services.
- Strengthen internal controls and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Drive digital financial solutions to enhance efficiency and customer outreach.
4. Fundraising & Partnerships
- Secure funding and investments from donors, creditors, and financial institutions.
- Collaborate with World Vision and other partners on integrated livelihood programs.
- Develop networks and alliances to influence economic policies that benefit microfinance.
5. People & Culture
- Foster a Christ-centered leadership culture that inspires and motivates teams.
- Recruit and develop top talent, ensuring effective succession planning.
- Drive a positive work environment that attracts and retains passionate professionals.
Who We’re Looking For
✅ Required Qualifications
✔ Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Management, or a related field.
✔ 10+ years of senior management experience in microfinance, banking, corporate finance, or economic development.
✔ Strong understanding of microfinance industry trends and regulatory frameworks.
✔ Experience managing deposit-taking financial institutions is an added advantage.

Work Environment & Travel
📍 Location: Office-based, with 40% field travel.
✈ Travel: 90% domestic, 10% international.
📞 On-call: Yes, including after business hours.
