Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Cashier to handle daily financial transactions and budgeting. The ideal candidate should have strong accounting skills, experience with QuickBooks, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

✔ Cash Management & Payments

Record, authorize, and process all cash payments efficiently.
Ensure all supplier payments come with an EFD receipt before recording them in QuickBooks.
Manage petty cash transactions and maintain proper documentation.

✔ Budgeting & Reporting

Prepare safari budgets, cash budgets, and departmental budgets for daily operations.
Reconcile petty cash and submit weekly reports to the Operations Manager and Directors.
Monitor fuel consumption for each vehicle after every safari before finalizing driver payments.

✔ Financial Record-Keeping

Enter all financial transactions accurately into QuickBooks.
File and maintain Local Purchase Orders (LPOs), Payment Requests, and Petty Cash books in an organized manner.
Review purchase items and verify they match transaction records, reporting any discrepancies.

✔ Compliance & Authorization

Ensure all cash transactions have supporting documentation and proper authorization.
Obtain management approval for Local Purchase Orders before processing payments.

Key Qualifications & Skills

🎓 Education & Experience:
✔ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
✔ Minimum of 2 years’ experience in accounting, finance, or cashier roles.

💡 Skills & Competencies:
✔ Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) & QuickBooks.
✔ Strong numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
✔ Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
