The organization plays a key role in tobacco marketing, agricultural supplies, and industry development, ensuring efficiency and sustainability within affiliated cooperative societies.
As TCJE continues to expand, we are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Cashier to join our finance team.
Position: Cashier
Location: Morogoro
Reporting to: Chief Accountant
Job Overview
The Cashier will be responsible for handling financial transactions, maintaining records, and supporting the accounting team in various clerical duties. This role requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality in financial management.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and record financial transactions accurately.
- Prepare month-end financial reports.
- Maintain and organize financial filing systems.
- Handle accounts payable and prepare invoices for clients.
- Process bank deposits and manage petty cash transactions.
- Post financial transactions using accounting software.
- Receive and record vouchers, cash, and checks.
- Verify the accuracy of reports, figures, and postings.
- Reconcile and report discrepancies in financial records.
- Assist in tax payments and filing.
- Protect the organization’s financial integrity by maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications & Experience
To be eligible for this role, candidates should meet the following requirements:
- A Certificate in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- At least two (2) years of relevant experience in a financial or accounting role (preferred).
- Strong general accounting knowledge.
- Proficiency in data entry and accounting software.
- Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy.
