About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated and organized professional to join our team as a BU Procurement Strategy & Performance Manager. In this role, you will collaborate with Plant S&Ps, Procurement Category Managers, Country Procurement Managers, and the Zone S&P team to ensure efficient price variance management and procurement processes.

You will report directly to the S&P VIC Manager and play a key role in procurement strategy, financial reporting, and supplier coordination.

Key Responsibilities

Price Variance & Procurement Management

  • Prepare and analyze Price Variance (PV) reports for the Business Unit.
  • Investigate and resolve price variance discrepancies.
  • Support savings initiatives related to price variance reduction.
  • Manage procurement VIC accruals and reversals.
  • Track and monitor one-off procurement expenses.
  • Facilitate supplier reconciliations, including FX and commodity rate confirmations.
  • Conduct weekly and monthly PV reviews, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Provide commentary and insights on price variances to Category Managers and Country Procurement Managers.
  • Reconcile COGNOS price data for VIC pricing accuracy.

Financial Reporting & Compliance

  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of monthly VIC RAU, Pack, and S&P T&M decks.
  • Manage Finished Goods FX & excise data within CTRM.
  • Oversee end-to-end Finished Goods management.
  • Support WAPT & Payables alignment.
  • Prepare and populate the MAP report.
  • Execute pre-closing routines to align with month-end expectations.

CTRM Management & Forecasting

  • Ensure forecast accuracy for consumption volumes in collaboration with the planning team.
  • Maintain correct conversion factors between materials and commodities.
  • Validate and manage accuracy of actual and forecasted consumption volumes in the LE tool and CTRM.

FX Exposure & Mark-Up Management

  • Ensure accuracy of FX exposure, currency timing, and forecasting.
  • Conduct FX reviews with Treasury.
  • Validate BU mark-ups and reconcile discrepancies with Control & MUBEX.

Annual Budgeting & Planning

  • Load the bottom-up budget into ERP systems.
  • Support budget accuracy verification and adherence to 1-Year Plan (1YP).
  • Align historical prices, unit of measure (UoM), and volume forecasts.
  • Manage budgeting timelines and reconciliation processes.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • MBA, CIMA, or CA (SA) qualifications are an added advantage.

Experience:

  • At least 3 years of experience in finance, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of product costing and financial reporting.
  • Experience in general accounting and financial consolidation.
  • Skilled in project management, problem assessment, and process optimization.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and working in a process-driven organization.

Technical Competencies:

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Experience with financial consolidation & reporting tools (Cognos, TM1, BI).
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems like SAP and SYSPRO.
