Role Overview
We are seeking a Branch Warehouse Manager (BWM) to take full ownership of our warehouse operations in Mwanza. You will be responsible for the overall performance of the warehouse, including last-mile logistics, performance reporting, team management, and ensuring the seamless execution of warehouse objectives. This position involves managing a team of at least 2 direct reports and up to 30 indirect reports.
As the BWM, you will support the Fulfilment Centre and Transport teams, ensuring that they have the necessary tools and resources to perform at their best. You will oversee operational activities, ensuring compliance with safety guidelines, cost targets, standard operational procedures, and company policies.

Key Responsibilities
- Leadership: Lead your team by example, ensuring they are well-equipped, motivated, and supported to perform their roles effectively.
- Operational Excellence: Ensure compliance with warehouse work instructions, policies, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Empower your team to make decisions based on data to drive continuous improvement in operations.
- Customer Focus: Ensure world-class customer service by living the principle of “The Customer is King”.
- Process Improvement: Recommend and implement improvements in processes and procedures for internal and external stakeholders.
- Inventory & Cash Management: Oversee inventory and cash reconciliation to minimize business risks.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with different teams and stakeholders to execute new business projects and process changes.
- Training & Development: Ensure your team is consistently upskilled and provided with growth opportunities.
- Culture Building: Foster a work environment that promotes integrity, accountability, and a positive, results-driven attitude.

Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Degree in Transport & Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Operations, Business Administration, or a relevant field. Advanced diploma with relevant logistics industry experience is also acceptable.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics and transportation management, with excellent financial acumen and understanding of cost efficiency.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of logistics, transport management systems, and warehouse management.
- Ability to manage and coordinate teams effectively.
- High emotional intelligence and excellent interpersonal skills.
- In-depth knowledge of last-mile logistics, inventory management, ERP processes, and customer service.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Goal-oriented with a practical problem-solving approach.
- Regional Knowledge: Good geographical understanding of the region, with an ability to work independently and take ownership of operations.
