Job Overview
We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Biomedical Engineer to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring the safety and efficiency of medical equipment used in our healthcare facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and calibrating a wide range of medical devices, providing technical support to clinical staff, and assisting in the selection of new equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on medical equipment, including imaging systems, patient monitors, and laboratory devices.
- Ensure all equipment is calibrated and tested for accuracy, safety, and efficiency.
- Provide technical support and training to clinical staff on proper equipment handling and usage.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance, repairs, and equipment performance.
- Participate in evaluating and selecting new medical equipment for the facility.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and healthcare standards.
- Carry out any other duties assigned by the supervisor or line manager.

Required Qualifications, Experience & Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering or a related field.
- At least three (3) years of experience working as a Biomedical Engineer or Technician.
- Strong knowledge of medical equipment and electronic systems.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in report writing.
- Certification as a Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) is an added advantage.
