Join Our Team as a Convergent Billing System (CBS) Engineer!

At Yas, we’re searching for a talented Convergent Billing System (CBS) Engineer to join our team starting in March 2025. About the Role

We’re looking for a CBS Engineer who holds a University degree in Information Technology, Electronics, or Computer Science and brings at least 2 years of hands-on experience. In this position, you will be instrumental in upgrading our billing system, ensuring smooth operations, and supporting our broader business initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• System Enhancements:
  Implement upgrades, patches, and new features. Thoroughly test each update to guarantee system compatibility and minimize any disruption to billing processes.
• Maintenance & Reporting:
  Provide ongoing systems support and preventive maintenance for our billing platform, while generating detailed performance reports to monitor system health.
• Vendor Collaboration:
  Engage with vendors and third-party providers to facilitate system enhancements and ensure seamless integration with other business systems.
• Product Development Support:
  Work alongside product development teams to design, configure, and deploy new products and services within our billing framework.
• Cross-Functional Teamwork:
  Collaborate closely with IT, Finance, and Customer Service teams to identify system requirements and resolve billing-related issues efficiently.
• Security & Compliance:
  Implement best practices for cloud security, compliance, and disaster recovery, particularly in environments that require classified security measures.
• Data Management:
  Ensure the timely availability of CBS files and dumps on the mediation side, and deliver daily file count status reports to the Data Warehouse (DWH).

Required Skills & Competencies

• Technical Proficiency:
  Strong experience with Linux/Unix-based systems, databases, networks, and server management to support backend operations.
• Container Management:
  Practical experience with Kubernetes for managing containerized applications and workloads, along with a solid understanding of containerization technologies like Docker.
