This position carries significant strategic and managerial responsibilities, ensuring the effective delivery of MSI’s global digital and technology strategy.

The role oversees a diverse portfolio of applications used across 35 MSI country programs, supporting thousands of clients through maternity hospitals, clinics, mobile outreach teams, commercial sales, and contact centers. The application portfolio includes:

  • Custom-built applications like our Electronic Health Records (EHR) system, which serves 160 maternity hospitals and large centers in 14 countries, and CLIC+, used in smaller clinics and outreach teams across 20 countries.
  • Enterprise software solutions, primarily built on Microsoft Dynamics 365 (used for fundraising and CRM in contact centers), Infor SunSystems 6.1 (our global accounting platform), and Azure/Power BI (critical for business intelligence and reporting).
  • Upcoming back-office modernization projects, including new budgeting, planning, and ERP systems.

This role is responsible for the entire application lifecycle, from development and implementation to ongoing management, strategic planning, and continuous improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with MSI Country Directors, global executives, and the board, as well as external software providers and INGO sector peers.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with MSI’s medical team to align clinical applications with best practices and ensure patient safety.
  • Leadership: Oversee a global, distributed team, ensuring high performance in a complex, multi-cultural environment.
  • Strategic Innovation: Lead MSI’s digital transformation, ensuring our healthcare technology evolves with the needs of our clients and operations.
