Position: Assistant Manager – Transactional Monitoring

Reports to: Head – Transactional Banking
Location: Head Office

Qualifications & Experience:

The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Banking and Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree will be an added advantage.

Additionally, applicants must have at least three (3) years of experience in banking or financial institutions.

Job Purpose:

The primary role of the Assistant Manager – Transactional Monitoring is to manage and oversee relationships with top borrowers, ensuring smooth financial transactions, including deposits and transfers, while ensuring loan covenants are met.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain strong relationships with top borrowers, acting as the primary point of contact for transactional banking services.
Understand each borrower’s specific financial needs and provide customized solutions.
Monitor and oversee the processing of inflows and payments, ensuring that all transactions are routed through the bank.
Ensure all transactional activities comply with the borrower’s loan agreements and financial covenants.
Work closely with Corporate Relationship Managers (RMs) to ensure adherence to agreed terms and conditions.
Prepare regular reports on financial status and highlight any breaches.
Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor or line manager.

Requirements:

Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Banking and Finance, or a related field is required. A Master’s degree is a plus.
Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of banking products, loan covenants, and financial risk management.
Technical Skills: General knowledge of banking operating systems and customer service delivery platforms will be an advantage.
