Agronomist – Full-Time Role (Dar es Salaam, Tanzania & Remote Locations)
About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Agronomist to join our team. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, with opportunities to work offsite in other regions across the country.
As an Agronomist, you will play a key role in soil research, crop improvement, and plant nutrition analysis. You will collaborate closely with farmers, guiding them on sustainable farming practices to enhance productivity and ensure long-term agricultural success.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct soil science research to assess and improve soil health for optimal crop growth.
- Analyze plant nutrition and develop strategies to enhance crop quality and yield.
- Work closely with farmers to implement sustainable farming techniques and improve agricultural practices.
- Provide expertise in irrigation systems, ensuring efficient water management for crops.
- Stay updated on agricultural advancements and recommend innovative solutions to boost farm productivity.
- Conduct field assessments and research to support data-driven decision-making.

Qualifications & Skills
- Degree in Agronomy, Agriculture, or a related field.
- Knowledge and experience in soil science, plant nutrition, and irrigation systems.
- Strong research skills with the ability to analyze data and implement findings effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with farmers and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently in both on-site and off-site locations.
- Experience in the coffee industry is an added advantage, but fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply.
