Position: Accounts and Operations Officer
Reporting to: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Job Location: Head Office, Dar es Salaam
Role Overview
As a Sellected Accounts and Operations Officer your work will be managing financial transactions and supporting loan activities including preparing reports and ensuring tax compliance. This position requires strong analytical skills including a keen eye for the financial accuracy through which you will with credit manager and CEO in ensuring efficient financial operations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Financial Management and Reporting
- You will prepare, examine and analyzing financial statements, reports and records.
- Verifying and processing daily financial transactions before payments and adjustments.
- You will Post all transactions into the accounting system.
- You will be required to monitor and reconcile bank, M-PESA and cash transactions.
- Ensuring the organization comply with tax regulations such as WHT, VAT, PAYE, SDL, WCF and NSSF
- You will prepare payroll and process salary payments on time.
- You will assist with budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
- Preparing bank reconciliations and financial reporting packs.
Loan and Administrative Support
- You will register all loan beneficiaries and managing loan disbursements
- Guiding clients on loan products and services.
- You will be required to conduct loan application verification and income assessments.
- You will monitor loan recoveries and follow ups
- You will be required to market the microfinance services so that to attract new clients.
- You will organize and maintain an efficient filing system.
- You will be required to support administrative tasks including scheduling meetings and preparing reports.

Qualifications and Experience
- Candidate with Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or related.
- Minimum of three years of working experience in finance, accounting or microfinance.
- Candidate with Experience in loan management is added advantage
- Candidate with previous work experience in NGOs, financial institutions, banks or consultancy firms is preferred.
- You are good in MS Office and financial management software such as SAP.
- Candidate with Strong skills in financial reporting, problem-solving and critical thinking.
- You have Excellent communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills.
- Candidates with ability to multitask, manage time effectively and adapt to a dynamic work environment.
Additional Skills and Attributes
- You are good in mathematical and analytical abilities.
- You have ability to present financial information clearly.
- You are self motivated with good organizational skills.
