Key Responsibilities

As a Process Operator, your role will include:

• Operating specific sections of the plant within defined parameters based on metallurgical guidelines.
• Ensuring safe and productive operations while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Monitoring and troubleshooting operational equipment.
• Reporting any equipment failures or abnormalities for prompt repair.
• Collecting and submitting hourly or shift-based samples.
• Handling and mixing reagents.
• Adhering to safety and environmental regulations.
• Recording hourly readings and analyzing plant variables.
• Conducting accurate shift handovers at the beginning and end of every shift.
• Participating in planned and unplanned plant shutdowns.
• Assisting in mill relining activities.
• Identifying and mitigating potential hazards.
• Performing general housekeeping to maintain a safe work environment.
• Engaging in on-the-job and structured training to enhance skills and career growth.

Qualifications & Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:

Education:

• Form Four (IV) Secondary Education (minimum requirement).
• A Diploma in Mineral Processing is an added advantage.
• A Full Technician Certificate (FTC) in Mineral Processing or equivalent is a plus.
• Knowledge of Mines Health & Safety Act regulations is desirable.

Experience & Skills:

• At least 1 year of experience in process operations within mineral processing.
• 2+ years of experience in process plant operations.
• 2+ years of experience handling and mixing chemicals and reagents.
• 2+ years of experience in Tailings Storage Facility (TSF) operations.
• Experience with polywelding (preferred).
• Familiarity with comminution, crushing, and grinding circuit operations.
• Knowledge of Heavy Media Separation and Gravity Concentrator operations.
• Experience in cyclone/classification processes and mill relining (preferred).
• Experience with raw material and stockpile management.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Proficiency in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Excel (preferred).
