About TARURA
The Tanzania Rural and Urban Roads Agency (TARURA) is a government agency under the President Office Regional Administration and Local Government (PO-RALG) that was established through Government Notice No. 211 of May 12 2017 and it was officially launched on July 2, 2017. TARURA is responsible for the management, maintenance and development of rural and urban road networks across all regions in Tanzania.
So that to enhance road infrastructure and support economic growth, TARURA Manyara Regional Office is currently looking for skilled and motivated Tanzanians to join their working team in Manyara, Tanzania in one year temporary contract Driver Jobs.
Position: Driver (6 Positions)
Locations: Babati, Mbulu, Kiteto, Simanjiro and Hanang Districts.
Job Type: Full-time
Qualifications and Requirements
- Must have Form IV National Certificate.
- Must Possess a valid driving license of Class ‘C1’ or ‘E.
- Has Completed Basic Driving Course from VETA or any other recognized institution.
- Fluent in both Kiswahili and English.
- Only Tanzanian citizenship is required.
Experience and Age Limit
- Minimum of one year of working experience as a Driver with a clean driving record (no accidents).
- Must not exceed 45 years.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Driving TARURA vehicles by following traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Conducting pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections so that to identify any maintenance needs.
- Ensuring all necessary vehicle equipment such as jack, spanner and spare tire are kept in good condition.
- Performing basic vehicle maintenance and cleanliness.
- Maintaining accurate journey records in the logbook.
- Collecting and deliver official documents and mail as assigned.
- Reportinv any accidents immediately to the supervisor and relevant authorities.
- Carrying out any other duties as can be assigned by the supervisor.
