The Director of Ubungo Municipal Council is pleased to announce contract job openings for Tanzanian citizens in various fields, including Engineering and Driving. These positions are based on the employment permit Ref No.: FA.97/228/02″A”/190, issued on December 19, 2024, by the Permanent Secretary of Public Service.

1. EXECUTIVE CIVIL ENGINEER II (3 POSITIONS)

Qualifications:

  • Must have completed either Ordinary Level (Form IV) or Advanced Level (Form VI) education.
  • Must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
  • Must be registered as a Professional Engineer with the Engineers Registration Board (ERB).

Salary Scale:

  • Successful candidates will be paid a salary at the TGS E.1 level.

2. MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL ENGINEER II (1 POSITION)

Qualifications:

  • Must have completed either Ordinary Level (Form IV) or Advanced Level (Form VI) education.
  • Must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
  • Must be registered with the relevant Engineering Registration Board.

Salary Scale:

  • Successful candidates will be paid a salary at the TGS E.1 level.

3. ARCHITECT II (1 POSITION)

Qualifications:

  • Must have completed either Ordinary Level (Form IV) or Advanced Level (Form VI) education.
  • Must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from a recognized institution.
  • Must be registered as a Professional Architect with the relevant Registration Board.

Salary Scale:

  • Successful candidates will be paid a salary at the TGS E.1 level.

4. QUANTITY SURVEYOR II (1 POSITION)

Qualifications:

  • Must have completed either Ordinary Level (Form IV) or Advanced Level (Form VI) education.
  • Must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying from a recognized institution.
  • Must be registered as a Professional Quantity Surveyor with the relevant Registration Board.

Salary Scale:

  • Successful candidates will be paid a salary at the TGS E.1 level.

5. DRIVER GRADE II (35 POSITIONS)

Qualifications:

  • Must hold a Form IV (Ordinary Level) or Form VI (Advanced Level) certificate.
  • Must possess a valid Class E or C1 driving license with at least one year of experience and a clean accident-free record.
  • Must have completed a Basic Driving Course from the Vocational Education and Training Authority (VETA) or another recognized institution.
  • Applicants with a Trade Test Certificate Grade II in Motor Vehicle Mechanics will have an added advantage.

Salary Scale:

  • Successful candidates will be paid a salary at the TGS B.1 level per month.

GENERAL APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

All applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be Tanzanian citizens aged between 18 and 45 years.
  • Attach a copy of their birth certificate.
  • Submit an application letter including their postal address and phone number.
  • Applicants with a criminal record will not be considered.
  • The following documents will not be accepted: testimonials, provisional results, statement of results, and Form IV or Form VI result slips.
  • Applicants with foreign academic qualifications must ensure their certificates are verified and approved by relevant authorities (TCU, NECTA, or NACTE).
  • Those previously retired or dismissed from public service are not eligible unless they have official clearance from the Chief Secretary.
  • Providing false information or forged documents will lead to legal action.
  • Overqualified applicants will not be considered.
