Overview
Kilombero Sugar Company Limited is seeking a dedicated Transporter Payments Administrator to help enhance our outbound logistics services. In this role, you will support the implementation of the Outbound Logistics Way along with associated standards, ensuring that our transport payments are processed efficiently and on time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Best Practices Integration:
    Contribute to the adoption of industry best practices, minimum standards, policies, and processes within our Outbound Logistics and Sales framework.
  • Daily Reconciliation:
    Update and reconcile Proof of Delivery (POD) records in SAP each day to prevent any delays in transporter payments.
  • Invoice Verification:
    Examine and reconcile supplier statements, invoices, and supporting documents against our rate schedule, service levels, and performance criteria to verify the payments due.
  • Discrepancy Management:
    Identify and report any inconsistencies found in PODs, invoices, or statements, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Payment Processing:
    Initiate online purchase requisitions (PR) and process the initial payment cycle by submitting invoices promptly to the Finance team.
  • Follow-Up:
    Liaise with Finance to confirm completed payments, maintaining strong supplier relationships and adherence to payment agreements.
  • Process Improvement:
    Look for opportunities to enhance our Order to Cash processes and overall customer service delivery.
  • Compliance:
    Adhere strictly to Kilombero Sugar’s policies and guidelines, including those pertaining to SHERQ, Competition Law, and Anti-Bribery and Corruption (ABC).

Qualifications & Experience

  • Educational Background:
    A Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • Relevant Experience:
    2-3 years in a finance administrative role, preferably with experience in managing creditors and debtors as well as conducting financial reconciliations.
  • Technical Skills:
    Proficiency in accounting software, Excel, and Transport Management Systems, complemented by strong numerical abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Communication & Time Management:
    Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
