Currently, NMB Bank has opened more than 226 branches with a network of over 9,000 agents (Wakala) including more than 700 ATMs across different regions of Tanzania. The Bank has currently expanded its customer base of more than 4 million including workforce of more than 3,400 employees.
NMB Bank is currently listed on the Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange (DSE) holding shares of about Arise B.V. (34.9%) while the Government of Tanzania holds (31.8%) of shares. From the provision of its good services, the bank has received multiple awards such as Best Bank in Tanzania award from Euromoney for eight consecutive years of 2013 to 2020 including The Safest Bank in Tanzania from Global Finance Magazine in 2020.
