HQ Systems Administrator (Fixed-Term – 2 Years) | 2 Positions

Job Overview
NMB Bank is looking for two HQ Systems Administrators to join our team on a two-year fixed-term contract. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, monitoring, and supporting IT working tools at our Head Office and branches. Your key focus will be ensuring high service availability, security, and continuous improvement while overseeing vendor work quality to meet and exceed business and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Maintenance & Support
- Perform daily maintenance and scheduled servicing of essential banking equipment, including:
- User working tools (Desktops, Laptops, Printers, Scanners, CCTV, Note Counting & Sorting Machines).
- Power systems (Generators, UPS, Stabilizers, Inverters, Solar/Wind Power Systems).
- Self-service terminals (Onsite & Offsite ATMs, POS Terminals for branches, merchants, and agents).
- Conduct morning system checks for all branches in your zone or HQ and resolve or escalate any technical issues.
- Keep the Asset Management Database updated, track inventory, and oversee the disposal and lifecycle of IT equipment every six months.
- Ensure timely resolution of support incidents logged in the Service Manager system while meeting SLA (Service Level Agreement) standards.
- Participate in preventive and corrective maintenance activities to minimize downtime and enhance system reliability.
2. Vendor & Quality Assurance Management
- Supervise vendors during planned and unplanned maintenance to ensure work is completed efficiently, with minimal disruption to banking services.
- Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure maintenance work meets NMB Bank’s standards.
- Ensure all scheduled reports (daily, weekly, and monthly) are completed and continuously updated to meet department requirements.
3. Security & Compliance
- Train Branch IT Champions on basic troubleshooting techniques to enhance first-level support.
- Escalate complex IT incidents to second-level (Head Office ICT team) or third-level (external system vendors) support when necessary.
- Ensure all computers (PCs and laptops) are updated with the latest NMB Bank security controls.
- Maintain a quarterly list of obsolete and end-of-life IT equipment for proper disposal and donation approval.
4. ATM & Network Management
- Install, configure, and monitor ATM performance and uptime across zones to ensure uninterrupted service.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong technical knowledge of banking IT systems and support tools.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced banking environment.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong knowledge of Head Office IT tools and computer peripherals.
- Ability to train and guide branch IT teams on basic system troubleshooting.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present technical information clearly.
- Effective time management, planning, and organizational skills.
- Working knowledge of networking protocols (CCNA certification is a plus).
- Self-motivated, able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in ICT, Engineering, or a related field.
- Certification in IT systems (e.g., Cisco, Microsoft) is an added advantage.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in banking IT systems support.
- Experience in ICT Service Management (ITIL) is a plus.
- Strong commitment to self-development and continuous learning.
