The Tanzania Teachers Union (TTU) in Swahili known as Chama Cha Walimu Tanzania (CWT) is a professional Teachers union that was created to stand for teachers across Tanzania mainland. Chama Cha Walimu Tanzania (CWT) was brought up in 1993 with the aim of standing on forefront and advocating for teachers rights in Tanzania. TTU/CWT was made to ensuring Teachers voices are heard and their challenges are soloved.
Chama Cha Walimu Tanzania (CWT/TTU) plays a crucial role in empowering teachers in Tanzania especially by raising and making them aware about their rights through which they engage policymakers and planners in their general discussions about their necessary professional and environmental changes.
The Organisation has been working under the vision of creating a unified and highly efficient teachers through providing solutions to their challenges and enhancing teachers warfare in the process of promoting Tanzania education
Beyond education Chama Cha Walimu Tanzania (CWT/TTU) also supports works in supporting the development by promoting Science, Technology and Innovation in different sectors in Tanzania especially in business, industry and agriculture which are essential for the County development.
