The Architects and Quantity Surveyors Registration Board (AQRB) is a regulatory body that was brought up under the Architects and Quantity Surveyors (Registration) Act No. 16 of 1997 and later revised and became replaced with the Act No. 4 of 2010. The primary role of this board was to register and oversee the professional conduct of various specialists such as;
- Architects
- Quantity Surveyors
- Interior Designers
- Landscape Architects
- Conservation Architects
- Naval Architects
- Furniture Architects
- Building Surveyors
- Construction Managers

Our Mission
Architects and Quantity Surveyors Registration Board (AQRB) mission is to uphold professionalism in architecture and quantity surveying through registering, training, promoting, monitoring and safeguarding of all Survey industry. AQRB is committed in ensure sustainable environment while protecting public interests.
Our Mandate
Basing on parliamentary Act No. 4 of 2010, Architects and Quantity Surveyors Registration Board (AQRB) is responsible for the following;
- Registration and Regulation: Managing of registration including professional conduct for architects, quantity surveyors and allied professionals.
- Qualification Standards: Setting requirements for the registration, rights and creating privileges for professionals.
- Maintaining Registers: Keeping updated records of the registered architects, quantity surveyors, architectural firms, graduate professionals, technicians including draughtsmen focusing on both local and foreign individuals
- Annual Registration Decisions: Reviewing and approving all professional registration applications every year.
